New Senior Leadership Additions Strengthen Qnovo’s Global Expansion
MILPITAS, Calif., August 18, 2022 -- Qnovo, the market leader in battery management software, today announced new additions to its senior leadership team: Vanessa Forbes as vice president of marketing communications and Jennifer Wahnschaff as vice president of sales. Additionally, Tom Gebhardt, independent advisor, and Beth Hill, general counsel at FordDirect, have been brought on as Qnovo’s new advisory board members. These team additions come as Qnovo extends its footprint to new headquarters in Silicon Valley to accommodate its growing workforce and customer base.
The investment in strategic areas of marketing and sales reflects unanimous endorsement from Qnovo’s board of directors to continue to prioritize global organizational scale, speed to market and geographical proximity to automotive OEMs. The company’s acceleration of software solutions into the electric vehicle market is further enhanced by the addition of senior experts in this area to the advisory team.
“Bringing the right individuals onto our leadership and advisory teams was of the utmost importance to maintaining our purpose-driven culture while supporting a rapidly expanding customer base,” said Nadim Maluf, Qnovo’s CEO and cofounder. “Our success is the direct result of our spectrum of talent and their passion for enabling electrification.”
Forbes has directed marketing and communications across clean technologies, including automotive, renewables, the built environment and consumer goods, among others. She joined Qnovo from HP Inc. where she led global sustainability communications for the company’s Print division. Prior, she was a vice president in Edelman’s technology practice, overseeing communications strategies for Fortune 100 companies, think-tanks and start-ups. She has held past roles with Coca-Cola, Apple and SunOpta.
Wahnschaff joins Qnovo from Clearmotion where she was COO and vice president of strategy. She has spent over 25 years in the automotive industry, working at OEMs and Tier One companies, including GM, Delphi, Takata and Siemens. She was formerly the senior vice president of Intelligent Transportation Systems at Continental Automotive in the San Jose office where she launched several cloud-based SaaS products.
Gebhardt is an independent advisor who has spent the largest portion of his career with Panasonic, leading division companies, building gigafactories for Tesla and eventually becoming Chairman and CEO of North America. Prior to retirement, he led the automotive portfolio for a growth-orientated private equity firm, Madison Industries. There, he oversaw a grouping of Tier One companies exclusively focused on automotive and emerging electric vehicle technologies.
Hill is the general counsel, chief compliance officer, board secretary and privacy leader at FordDirect, a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and Ford and Lincoln Dealers. Her role allows her the unique retailer and dealer perspective on the adoption of electric vehicles. She has over twenty-five years of experience focusing on how data continues to transform the automotive industry and consumer experience. Prior to joining FordDirect, Hill was senior counsel and enterprise privacy counsel for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (now Stellantis).
